Geology is the lamest science

It takes a billion years for a rock to do something I dont care about.. why am I writing a 10 page paper again? Oh, thats right, cause some dude with a hardon for rocks said I need this for my B.A. or I cant graduate. Yay...

that 2 hour test was no picnic either..

tl;dr -- seriously, its 3 lines.

  2. Earth Science is the best man. The earth moves so slow that you don't have to worry about rewriting the history books so to speak every time some new shit is discovered. Imagine being the astronomer who discovered Pluto and then had the title planet stripped from his discovery. Compared to other sciences, Earth Science is easy to learn, can get you a decent job, and you don't have to worry about nutcases ruining your day. It also doesn't hurt being able to tell a raw gemstone from other rocks with your eyes.

  4. The way the Earth moves just seem logical to me. Maybe it just comes easier for me than it does for others, I never really considered it memorization. I'm sure you'll find a subject that really inspires you and you can forget about the general education classes soon enough. I still recommend you try to take as much from the class as you can; you don't want to be another one of those people who think basalt is something you keep on your dining room table. ;)

  5. The earth is interesting an all, but as a major? I'll pass on that.

  6. I agree with the post to a certain extent. Sure, it might be interesting and all, but in the end, it won't help you if you're doing anything outside of geology as a major. Great post!
